Meet The Chef
I created Michael Gordon Catering ltd to provide a bespoke private catering service for events
at home. Besides the high end food, what I believe really defines my catering company is the quality of service. I am passionate about providing enjoyable hospitality for my clients. By 'enjoyable' I mean making sure I create a relaxed environment. I like to put myself in the position of the diner and imagine what I would personally want out of the experience.
For me, great hospitality is making people feel comfortable, wearing a smile and having the ability to read a room.
My food style is very much ingredient lead, seasonal where possible and unpretentious. As the majority of my cooking is in private kitchens, I like to keep my dishes honest and uncomplicated. Expect perfectly cooked meat and fish with
well-balanced sauces and garnishes.
As a private chef, I work with some of London's top suppliers and feature only the best produce on all my menus.

Not only did he serve the most delicious canapés (I still dream of them)
but he had organised a very friendly, professional and super-helpful assistant who made sure everyones glasses were refilled, drinks restocked and everything looked clean and perfect etc.
They were both an absolute joy to have around and whenever any of my guests needed a break they could be found chatting to Michael in the kitchen whilst being fed the most delectable personalised amuse-gueueles.
Michael and team left the kitchen possibly cleaner then it was before.
